Run with us during advent for a good cause
30 minutes a day, 25 advent days = great feeling, better fitness, but most of all, you will help those, to whom their life was not so kind to. There is already more than 11,000 of us. Will you run along?
How does the challenge work
1. Connect with us
Link your STRAVA account with our challenge and follow how you stand up against the others in our leaderboard.
2. Run during advent
Every day, from 1st to 25th December, run at least 30 minutes. Don't like to run alone? Come and join one of our group runs!
3. Turn your kilometers into donation
At the end of the challenge donate 1 CZK for each kilometer you ran for a good cause. Want to help even more? Multiply your donation! The final sum is just up to you!
Who will we support with Advent running in 2024?
We are helping by running since 2015
It all began with a personal challenge of the founder of our community, Babeta, who just did not want to run alone. Over the years, more than 11,000 Advenťák Runners joined her. We run together (virtually, but also in the real world) and we turn our kilometers into donations for our heroes, to whom their life was not so kind to. All year along - not just at Christmas.

What is new with us?

Advent Running 2024 is officially underway!
01. 12. 2024
The 10th Anniversary Advent Running is officially underway!!
Last night in Prague, 60 Advent Runners (and Žofka the dog in her festive outfit) gathered in the shop at midnight.
To the cheers of Saturday's party crowds in the city center, we ran to the Old Town Square to admire the Christmas tree (it's stunning again this year!) and then headed back to Karlín.
But that's not all – runs also kicked off in cities all across the country! In 16 of them, runners hit the streets at midnight.
Thank you for being part of this with us!

Meet the Heroes of Advent running 2024: Elenka
01. 11. 2024
Elenka is a 16-year-old girl who has severe physical and mental disabilities. She has been struggling with this disability since she was 8 months old, when it manifested itself as a consequence of vaccinations. She is not able to move independently, cannot eat on her own, does not speak, and is therefore dependent on 24-hour care from her family.
In May 2014, Elenka was enrolled in a study of rare metabolic disorders. In November 2019, Elenka was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder - the candidate gene HNRNPU, which only 80 people worldwide have.
Elenka also suffers from a rare form of epilepsy for which medication does not work and sometimes there are very difficult times when Elenka has up to 250 epileptic seizures a day.
Elenka's father tragically died 14 years ago. And even though Elenka's mother was left to do everything on her own, she managed to raise a wonderful son who is now also helping her a lot with Elenka's care.
How will the Advenťák runners help Elenka?
The Advenťák runners would like to finance further intensive neurorehabilitation sessions for Elenka, which inscribes a special formula in her brain and despite her very poor diagnosis, Elenka is making progress, proving that with regular exercise you can make a miracle happen.
